Mrs. Angie L. MacAskill

Angie Lee MacAskill was born on September 14, 1950 to the late Paul J. Barefoot and Ruth O Chapel in Rocky Mount, NC.  She departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Angie attended school in the Nash County Public School system.  Angie had multiple jobs in different fields but her last jobs were housekeeping at multiple hotels.  She worked alongside her husband Angus sr.  Angie was married three times and had three wonderful but complicated children from each marriage.  Angie like to knit, Crochet, dance, color in magazines, she loved country music and having cookouts with her family.  On the third marriage she found the love of her life Angus Mark MacAskill Sr. and they loved each other very much and he took care of her until she transitioned from this earthy life. Angie will be truly missed by her family and friends and will remain in their hearts and minds forever. She was her husband’s angel!

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Paul J Barefoot and Ruth O Chapel, brothers, Paul Barefoot, Ed Barefoot and Rob Barefoot

Survivors: her husband, Angus Mark MacAskill Sr., her children, Toni Lee Summey (Steve Sr), Philip Alexander Bowden (Mary), Angus Mark MacAskill Jr.(Kayla), grandchildren, Steve K. Summey Jr., Rachel L. Summey, Lita Bowden and Rose Bowden, sisters, Annie Hinnant, Jackie Bissette, and Alice Adams, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
