Todd M. Ward, 64 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8th. He is now healthy, healed and whole in the Presence of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and now free from the pain he battled for over 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa, son, David, daughter in-law Moriah, grandchildren Judah and Jubilee, his mother Judy, father Jim, his biological father James Newby, sister, Elena Foucher and husband, Benoit, as well as other extended family members.
Todd was a kind, caring, compassionate friend to many. He valued his relationships with family and friends, and would lend a hand to anyone in need. This led him to his current position as a community advocate ,as an employee of EPEC Solutions. Todd did not know a stranger and ministered to so many, from the homeless, to shut-ins, to those with various infirmities. He would give the shirt from his back to help another. He never held back from sharing his faith in Jesus and all He had done for him throughout his lifetime. Todd knew he was nothing without his relationship with Jesus, as his source and his only hope. He held nothing dear in this life but this relationship and those whom he treasured on this earth. Despite his own pain, he still pushed through to love and encourage others to the very best of his ability. He gave food, clothing, rides, physical assistance, time and most importantly a word of encouragement to anyone in his path throughout the day. He owned a tree service for many years, working physically hard to provide for his family but in recent years through his position, afforded to him through EPEC, he could carry out what God made him for — to serve others.
Todd also was an avid Steeler fan, enjoying bantering back and forth with David over the games. He also loved anything with wheels He was still as recent as this week dreaming about another motorized bike he would have loved to have. Todd loved to have fun and enjoy times at the lake in the summers, when he could, as he was a strong swimmer and swimming was one of the few exercises he could perform.
Todd will be sorely missed by his family, friends and church family at The Garden Church.
In lieu of flowers for Todd’s service, contributions can be given to The Garden Church, Knightdale NC.
